this Christmas

i work at the mall and it is Christmas time...
people come into my store with heavy eyes and heavy bags exhausted from spending hours and money.
it makes me sad because most of the people i talk to are not happy about all the money they are spending.
Christmas is truly supposed to be in the heart not under a tree.

i like giving - please don't think i am hostile
BUT
i am not buying anything for anyone.

i am giving away some of my most prized possessions to the people i treasure most.
that to me is real giving.

this pink little elephant is made from ceramic - i found him at a thrift store years ago and when his leg broke off i gave him new life - i think he is happier this way !
